SLUTTT

SLUTTT kicked and screamed onto Myspace - a few bratty anthems by a faceless girl. Whoever SLUTTT was, they asked a then unknown band named The Teenagers if SLUTTT could remix their song Fuck Nicole. The Teenagers agreed, and the remix was delivered. Blogs went nuts over it, the remix was pressed on the B-side of The Teenager's first single, and so the legacy began. Speculation, rumors, lies... A kid named Julian, also known as Red Foxx, is and always was behind the project. This girl on vocals here. That girl on vocals there. Not to mention his own voice, always obscured and distorted. A strange entity indeed - part reality, part illusion - but one that consistently bangs heads in the club. SLUTTT's first single for S.L.U. records, "Stop Copying Me," tore shit up with a devastating Jokers of the Scene rework. The track's lyrics consisted solely of verbatim stories submitted by girls on MySpace, climaxing in an absurd crescendo of rage and angst. SLUTTT's remix for Miss Odd Kidd was performed live on Radio One. And a more recent remix for B. Rich on Palmsout Sounds got burn from serious players for it's brutal drums, vicious low end and razor sharp hoovers. With the future, SLUTTT's getting darker and darker, more and more consumed in it's own fantasy... so much that even SLUTTT itself can't tell what exists and what's made up anymore. As producer Red Foxx sums it up, "I created SLUTTT as an idea of this imaginary person making music... A person who loved oneself more than anyone else ever could, in the worst way... attention-craving, demanding, fucking shit up just to watch it burn. Yet more and more SLUTTT started to become real. And ultimately I realized that it is real. And it scares me to death."
